A cup of tea and a breath of fresh air in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

Why do so few people quiver with curiosity and envy when talking about Malaysia? The word Thailand produces a completely different effect… And yet, the Cameron Highlands are worth the diversion!

Malaysia is full of surprises. You can find just about everything here: a very big, super modern city, the oldest jungle in the world, heavenly islands, small towns in the historic centre, great food and trendy bars. It is also one of the most beautiful parts of Asia, a popular holiday destination for wealthy Malaysians: The Cameron Highlands.
Situated in the north, a 3.5 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, this oasis of freshness is one of the most surprising. It is cool all year round, you can breathe well and, above all, you are surrounded by an ocean of green hills like the hope sown with tea plantations pruned to the millimetre as far as the eye can see.

The Camerons are not a cheap destination, the region is rich in luxury hotels, and what hotels! Worthy of a Ritz Hotel, and for many, much cheaper. Everything is beautiful, well furnished, lit, decorated, and a service at the top with very professional and always smiling Malaysian people

Going for a walk and filling your lungs with fresh air is already a real pleasure in itself, but what about the king size bed with its immaculate sheets and soft feather pillows waiting for you at the end of the day (purring)?
After a good glass of wine on the terrace, the coolness invites us into the room and this is undoubtedly how a honeymoon should be experienced… I can only imagine because I’ve never been married and to tell you the truth, I’ve never been to the Ritz either.

But do I really need to have been there to make it clear that the Camerons are superb and worth saving a few bucks on a long trip to afford this delectable luxury.

Travel isn't always about luxury, but it's all about adventure!
